Yoga Therapy uses Yoga where there is a specific issue or health condition. It accommodates to the needs and ability of the person in question. I conduct my Yoga therapy sessions in one-on-one or small group settings. During a session we focus for example on Yoga for anxiety or Yoga for back pain. I provide Yoga therapy to complement other forms of treatment. Also, Yoga therapy treats a specific issue, whether physical, mental or emotional.
In Yoga therapy we use yoga postures specifically designed around health needs. These needs include breathing techniques, relaxation, meditation, guided visualisations (to calm the body and mind). But we also use breath cleansing, massages and sounds. All to improve our overall well-being. The holistic focus of yoga therapy promotes good health as a whole and integrates mind, body, and spirit.
